Marcy's First Post...
Since Heredes is on a blog sabbatical...I get to take over for a night and blog..I am so excited. So, today we got to wash one of our lovely white mustangs..then we went to every man's favorite store...HOME DEPOT...Heredes, at the age of 24, bought his first DRILL...Yup...isn't that just dandy. Then we did some grocery shopping... When we got home, the fun began...Heredes not only got his first man tool, but he also did some shelving work..I haven't taken a pic of the closet yet, but it looks FANTASTIC....So, the house still looks like a disaster, but we managed to have a good, home cooked meal.. The menu: salmon, mashed potatoes, & salad...it was good I must say.. Okay, and the last thing we did was exercise in the spider jungle at the park...it was pretty gross...i think Heredes swallowed one of the spider's dinner..hmm yumm-o....well that was our day and it's time to go to bed....enjoy the pic....- MarcyOh crap !!! I forgot...Heredes made FAT FREE BROWNIES....good job baby!!!!

Tent of the West
The old saying still stands true ...like grandpa would say: "You don't know what you have till its gone" - In the midst of all the transitioning and relocating, end of semester writing and studying, family gatherings and more ... our hearts and prayers were still with MBC all week long. We were thrilled to hear that MBC's Easter weekend was a success... with over 3000 people and several decisions - the "Tent of the West" was packed and praising. Even-though we are blessed by our relocation and have already began learning tons.... you are all missed dearly: the band, the choir, dancers, orchestra... keep serving the Lord faithfully - I am fired up by your passion to serve with excellence. You are a talented bunch, All of you! I was spoiled to serve with you all! Grandpa was right .... you are all da "bomb diggity bomb bomb" Keep it up! "Not to us but to His name be the Glory" - Psalm 115
(PS... Eddie & Dannette - you are in our daily prayers! I was glad to hear your voice bro...We love you guys "Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion" - (Psalm 103:2-4) Stay Strong!

Easter Weekend...
What a glorious weekend! Both Marcy and I have been praying for this weekend for several weeks now, and it rocked! We've been inviting all of our unchurched friends and they were blessed by the environment and message at FRC. Here's a quick recap of the weekend: - Easter Morning began with 288 baptisms at the Beach ! What a glorious day ... 53 degrees didn't stop them from telling their story to the world !
- Troy preached live at 9 services (including Doral) and piped at every multi-site as well. His message was right on, hundreds of people gave their lives to Christ. I was blessed and nervous to have Troy there at my very first service. He hit a home run at all of them - read his post here.
- FRC received about 11,000 people this weekend!! WOW! And they were all well received by the hundreds of volunteers who serve faithfully every weekend! You guys are awesome!
-Doral had over 500 people total and the energy no other campus had! Hispanics just have caffeine in their blood. It's an honor to serve with you Igor - lets turn Doral upside down! - My last service of the weekend was at Cooper city with all the other worship Pastors. The service is called "PULSE" (every sunday @ 5 PM) It was awesome.... the worship pastors here are "sickening" talented! What an honor to worship with you guys. Allen..it's a true blessing to serve under your leadership and mentorship! I am blessed.
-Here are the songs we played throughout the weekend:
Doral: Holy You are (Lakewood), I am Free (Desperation), My Redeemer Lives (Hillsong), Came to my Rescue (Hillsong)
Cooper: Nothing but the Blood/ Jesus Paid it All(Passion), He Lives (Lakewood), Tell the World (Hillsong), For all you've done
Pulse: Tell the World (Hillsong), Wholly Yours (Crowder), Inside Out (Hillsong), Nothing but the Blood Medley (Passion)

Reaching our God Potential
FRC's mission statement is clear, strategic and posted all over the place (literally). Here goes: Our purpose: "Partnering with people to reach their God Potential" It fires me up to see people reach their God Potential in their jobs, at school, in the gym, at Starbucks... thats the true beauty of the purpose. Your God potential is reached outside the church walls. God has uniquely created every single person to reach their potential in Him at whatever location, age or language. The potential "mold" is simply that there is no "mold" - with God as our fuel and His word as our map... the possibilities are endless. Are you pursuing your God potential?
FRC's staff was challenged this past week to continue growing towards our God Potential... here are nine things Pr. Troy shared with us as he challenged us to grow as the leaders of FRC - hopefully they can challenge you to grow as well:
Growth Towards our God Potential...
1. Spiritual: Journal your progress, keep track of where you've been so it tells you where you're going.
2. Leadership: leaders find a way to grow - no matter what. Read, Read & Read!
3. Physical: Our physical appearance reflects our leadership - the physical IS spiritual! Ouch ...
4. Ministry: We must always pursue excellence (do the best we can with the best we have)
5. Diversity: get out of our comfort zone and cover south Florida's ethnicity: everyone
6. Character: return calls, emails, follow up w/ people. Communicate and be clear
7. Creativity: It takes time, but is necessary. Create, create & create!
8. Thinking: Always be ahead of where people are. Go beyond.
9. Self Awareness: Know Yourself. Admit your weaknesses and use your strengths
I was challenged to grow ... and have already made progress. Anyone else on this journey?
