Innovate... final reCap
We had a great time at Granger,IN for the Innovate Conference ... the highlight of the trip was by far watching Dr. TD. Gramling AKA Troy do an amazing job on his session. Read his notes here. Thanks for all you do bro .. it was an honor to tag along and be a part of what God is doing though you. Pictured below are snapshots of his session. Also pictured below is the reunion of fellow blogger & friend Dan the Man & Air-uh-Des! We had a great time over coffee and Dan later gave me a personalized tour of the famous Notre Dame campus. (Miami fans .. it's not all that) The "touchdown Jesus" is pretty tiny. Just Kidding .... Thanks Dan --- Your performances on stage were hilarious and your heart off stage was authentic and encouraging. Thanks for taking the time...
We're now in Chicago for the weekend .. (for those of you who speak"Churchanese") we'll be attending CCC & Willow Creek .. I am loving Chicago!
Miss you Marcy ... see you soon

iPoem

The time has come,
The day arrived,
My dear blackberry
has retired
It sleeps in peace
Beneath my bed
No Sim, Not charged
OK! Its dead!
It rests in peace
Its time was near
It knew it too..
Yet didn't fear
Now for a minute
I felt alone
But then it came:
MY NEW iPHONE!

I'm speechless still
No words to say
An iPoem was
the only way
So - thankyou guys
for what you've done
And know: The Best
..is yet to come!

Cds, DVDs & Heredees
It's not a typo Blogville .... the title actually rhymes if you say it out loud. ;)Just wanted to quickly share some things I was able to "consume" this morning... some of it is brand new, some of it just recent - most of it is good.
As a worship leader... I'm constantly on the lookout for great songs that can help people connect with God. I think we might have some here... I'll be reviewing and recommending some of it soon.
For now ... I'd just like to say that I am so happy Casting Crowns covered Steve Fee's "All Because of Jesus". I began covering that song ever since I saw him last year at 722 in Atlanta - I actually chorded out the song from a ghetto live recording of that night I had on my digital camera. I "myspaced" Steve and got the full lyrics from him and began playing the tune immediately at church! Eight months later Steve released his album and just last week Casting crowns re-released the song! So there you have it ... I claimed the hit (at least here in South Florida)! ;)
Consumed products pictured above (from top to bottom):
-Crave DVD from Erwin Mcmanus' Mosaic
-Shane & Shane CD - Pages
-Casting Crowns CD - The Altar and the Door
-Vertical CD - Invencile (Spanish Worship)
-DC Talk CD/DVD - 10th year anniversary release
-Planet Shakers CD/DVD - Pick it Up
-Planet Shakers CD/DVD - Evermore
-Planet Shakers CD/DVD - Saviour of the World
Not pictured but worth buying right now is Steve Fee's Album "Burn for You"
Just a reminder -
Have you checked out my Naked Pastor lately? See him live now @ myNakedPAstor.com

CF Miami's Generations CD

My good friend JR Lovins over at CFmiami just finished releasing their new GENERATIONS CD. The project showcases all original work lead by some of the coolest worship leaders here in South Florida. So far I have been digging the album ... my favorite track has to be: "To Be" - it's a catchy tune with a John Mayer meets Jeremy Camp at a Crowder concert. Nice job guys!
You can preview and purchase the album on iTunes by clicking here Buy ten copies if you can .... all proceeds go to support JR Lovins "guitar pedal" fund! Just Kidding - get a copy - it's worth it!

BINGO!

I'd just like to come on record and state that the word BINGO is stinking cool! It always has been, and always will be. If you can't pull it off... don't blame the word - just take a look in the mirror and keep trying. Here are some tips to help you be cool by using the word BINGO:
1. Say it with confidence and authority
2. Look the person in the eye when you say it
3. Do not stress the BIN (as in Been)
4. Wear a hat slightly tilted to the left
5. Grow a soul patch or a goatee
6. Call someone up and say Bingo? instead of hello
7. Do it now! Trust me!
8. Sign your emails with the word: Bingo
9. Walk around and point at stuff while saying BINGO
10.Buy this
Your friends will think you're the coolest! Guaranteed...
Bingo,
Heredes

4.Rocking Chair?
(since when mom?)
5. Only a tiny corner of the piano is pictured on the right

-Matthew Mahon
Super cool site from a super hip photographer .. spend some time navigating the pics .. you'll enjoy it (figure it out) The site is very detailed.
-Shane and Shane
New music from two talented guys - you can listen to the entire album there
Have fun .. I'm off to the beach. Hope you have (or had) a great day.. let me know what ya'll think of the sites.

Online Book Study...

Hey Blogville...
Allow me to think out loud here for just a second...
In an attempt to further our learning through reading and develop our potential "together" as opposed to alone - I have decided to propose something kind of "out there" if you will...
This might just be the next best thing, so hang with me.
All I know so far is that I need your help ... I have already partnered with my wife and siblings in Brazil for the journey. I don't have a name for it yet ... but it would basically be an online book study of some sort. It is designed (or will be designed) with the "leader" in mind. Those who seek to grow and learn while creatively collaborating via the net. Here's how I see it in my mind ... (totally subject to change)
-We would read 1-5 chapters weekly (depending on the book)
-An email would be sent out to remind you all of what and when to read
-We would gather once a week via the w.w.w. to discuss our learnings
-This may happen via blog, iChat, MSN, video conference (not sure yet)
-We would all "agree to disagree" as we read, learn & grow together
-Assigned readers would provide questions for group discussion
-Books would be voted upon based on group interest
-Conversations would be continued in smaller groups of 2-3 via the net
-The study will be open to committed "partners" only (no slackers)
-Possible sharing of "audio books" for partners throughout the month
-Books will be read in the "English" language only - sorry ;(
-The goal is to read one book a month as a group (12 books a year)
(above and beyond your personal reading)
Again ... this is all in my head for now. I'd love to start it in about a month (October) - The cool thing is that we can partner with readers all over the world and together share the same learning experiences...
I'd love to hear your suggestions .... anyone interested? Sign up begins now .. i guess. ;)
More Videos ...
The videos are flooding in as the time approaches - but there is still time for you to attend the www.mynakedpastor.com launch party! Check out the videos below ... I say we hook up the two guys with the two girls.. I think its a match made in heaven!! what do you think?
