We're getting ready to open some internship spots on our staff here at FRC .... you'll hear about it here first! Here's the deal ... if you're somewhat interested - let me know now, and you might get a head start...

Here's the inside scoop...

* The program is open to college-aged students who have graduated from high school.
* Positions are available for the summer & fall semesters
* You'll be assigned to one of these teams: Creative Arts Team, Web 2.0 Development (Digerati Team) , Video Production Team, Creative Writing Team & Communications Team
* There will be weekly gatherings and training for all the interns. As well as hands on projects with real life (ministry) experience.
* You won't get rich. But you will get to work in one of the fastest growing and innovative churches in the country with campuses spread throughout South Florida and the world.

Five States, One Week

Good Day Blogville...

I'm sitting here at Fort Lauderdale airport waiting to start my 5 state mini tour. I'm looking forward to this trip ... I'll be hitting 5 states in about a week. Fast but fun.

Here's a rough Itinerary -

• C3 Creative Conference in Dallas, TX
• Lifechurch.tv visit in Oklahoma City, OK
  
• Pit Stop/Video Soot in Chicago, IL
  
• Video Shoot in Memphis,TN (Graceland)
• Video Shoot w/ Troy in Paragould, AR
  
• Back home to my beautiful wife Miami, Fl
  

Check back this week for pics, utterz and posts...I can't wait to see the C3 sessions (TD Jakes, Brian Houston & Ed Young among others) Also looking forward to meeting Bobby Gruenewald (innovation pastor at lifecurch.tv) & Mark Dawson (video producer from lifechurch.tv). Coconut Grove Arts Festival

Marcy and I spent president's day over at Coconut Grove's annual art festival here in Miami... its their 45th year celebration. There's nothing like spending a sunny day observing art with your beautiful wife. We walked, talked and had a blast. It turns out that for the most part, Marcy and I totally disagree about art - but that's what makes us complement each other so well. So much so that we've come up with an art project called "Best of Both World's" - it's basically the best of Pop art mixed with the best of realism (classical drawing) or as I like to call it [unPop art] .. just kidding baby - realism is not unpopular, I know at least 4 people who like it. Anywho - check back soon for our first piece .... for now check out some of my favorite festival pieces.

Bobby Flay @190

On our Miami outing last night ... Marcy & I decided to join some friends at Restaurant one ninety in the heart of Miami - its a small, cozy and trendy restaurant with live music and raw art. (note: every one who works there is an artist of some sort). Great Vibe....
So much so that Mr. Bobby Flay himself was sitting next to us dining the night away. He was joined by Ingrid Huffman (another food network star who lives here in Miami). Not sure if they're hooking up or if it was just business ... I'll have to ask Bobby's wife :)


All I know is that the grilling giant was nice enough to say hello and stop for a photo ... I almost challenged him to a classic "Flay Throwdown"



Also worth linking .... check out Rachel Goodrich. Local singer/songwriter who rocked out the guitar, kazoo and tambourine physcobilly style last night. Great voice!
