The Bed & It Matters

THE BED -
We just summed up a four part series called "the Bed" that is a must for every couple (and every single blogger out there looking to have a happy marital bed life). I mean it! You've got to check it out ... get a drink and crank the volume .... whether you've been married for years, days or you're about to get married ... watch it ! Nothing like talking about sex & romance the way God intended it to be! I'm not gonna lie to you - it's a SEXY teaching! Raw+Awesome = Rawsome! IT MATTERS -
I am also pumped about our new series which begins this weekend.. called: IT MATTERS There's something powerful that happens when people devote themselves to the apostles teaching , fellowship , sharing of meals and prayer (Acts2:42) And that's exactly what we'll be doing! I can't wait to see what God will do ... it started tonight at staff meeting - where over 200 staff members logged online for a charging and challenging intro to the series that's gonna rock! Don't miss it!

Pushing Daisies

While at the NAB show in Vegas ... I had the opportunity to meet the creator, editor & producers of the show "Pushing Daisies". I must say ... after watching the show's pilot at the conference - I fell in love with it. The colors, the style, the narrative, the score etc... It is basically an adult fairy tale "dramedy" with artsy humor . If you 're a fan of Amélie - you need to watch this show. Season one aired last fall on ABC - and season two will resume this fall ...it may not be your cup o' tea but you can watch some episodes here. Has anyone ever seen or heard of this show?

Vegas Update

Hey Blogville ... just a quick update on what we're up to in Vegas. While you're online ... go say hello to my wife - she's still a little sick :( Miss ya nena....

- Cirque Du Soleil's Love was fabulous (words and posts aren't enough)

- Google offered to buy "heredes.com" - we'll see (not!)
- The Strip is beautiful at night - great photo opportunities
- The conferences and sessions have been eyeopening and practical
- Hanging out with the lifechurch.tv team was encouraging
- I continue to hand out baziliions of business cards (and collect bagillions)
- Hanging with the team has been fun

NAB Update...

Hello Blogville ....
It's been an intense first 3 days in Vegas at the NAB Show 2008. So much content, so much to see.... it's like drinking water from a fire hose. I have taken notes to keep me busy for years to come. (pictured on the left is the view from our hotel)



Some thoughts so far...
- I have met more people and given away more business cards in the past 3 days than my entire life. Looking forward to connecting with some of these folks ... very helpful and useful resources.
- My favorite sessions so far have been "Running a successful mid-sized studio" , "Field Audio Boot Camp", & "the Future of Blogging"
- Casinos, Casinos, Casinos - you cant get anywhere without crossing them.. not my thing though
- Pete and I caught a comedy show on Saturday - funny times
- Bon Jovi was in concert last night - he called but I was busy :)
- The Vegas Strip looks awesome at night - kind of like Times Square meets Disney , but without mickey.
- Going to some corporate parties tonight - free food, networking and product demos - can't complain
- The Exhibit starts monday - the team flies up then. Looking forward to hanging and learning together...
- Just attended church via our internet campus - Amen.

Off to NAB ....

PS... the Bellagio is beautiful.

NAB Show 2008

Good day Blogville ....
Here's a quick post and shout out to any producers/directors/editors/videographers out there.... I'll be leaving to Vegas tomorrow for the 2008 NAB show and can't wait (our team will be meeting me there on Monday). Besides the practical sessions, keynote speakers, exhibits, demos etc... I'm also looking forward to connecting with some of you out there. We've got some folks lined up for a fun Vegas Night Out dinner just to pick at each other's brains. So far we've got our team here at Flamingo plus...
