What would Jesus Drink ? Why ?

A picture is worth more than a thousand words... but if you were to caption it - what would you say?
Marcy and I went to see CELIA last night at the Carnival Theater (now known as the Adrienne Arsht Center). I expected a Cuban cover band playing all of Celia's hits but was blown away by the seamless production. Apparently CELIA has recently been a hit in New York and is now down in Miami for a season. I did not know this! The acting, transitions, video usage, comedy and dancing took this off-Broadway show to a Broadway level. I did not know any history behind Celia's life .. but after attending - I feel like I'm an expert. Read more about her life and legacy here . Any who ... it was a fun night - those Cubans know how to salsa! We later got to hang out at an after party with the cast and friends courtesy of PILON and JP - they had it going on. Big shout out to Silvia and Chants ... and for Pilon - for keeping it cool. ;)
Hey Blogville ...
The gang over at the Wall Street Journal spend several days at our Lima, Peru campus as well as our South Florida campuses preparing an article on multi-site churches and their expansion. Flamingo Road Church was featured as a leading church in this "new" form of church branding and growth. The article is titled "Inspired by Starbucks" - read it here.
I must tell ya ... I just finished listening to the new coldplay album in its entirety. (listen here too if you'd like) I loved every bit of it. This will definitely be one of the albums I purchase digitally, physically and even grab an LP if available. It has so many anthems, and a song for each emotion and occasion. The sounds and lyrics are unique and inspirational. Can't wait for the tour. Even though some of their tour production got postponed... the South Florida date was confirmed and tickets will sell on June 21st.
Some things I've learned while in Indianapolis ...
Guess who we saw Friday night at the Carnival Center: Brazilian artist: Djavan... I was able to surprise Marcy with tickets and attend with some friends. It was a blast. These are some of the world's best musicians... seriously. Listening to thousands of Brazilians sing along was pretty unique .. I haven't seen or done that in a while. The best part was watching Marcy sing along in Portuguese too .... Linda! ;) Huge blog props to our bud Uribe for finding the tickets!
