Flamingo Film Festival - F3 Recap

Here's a look at what happened @ F3 08'... I can't wait for F3 09' !!

F3 - Flamingo Film Festival 2008

I will be posting a full detailed F3 recap as soon as all the video entries are made available online... (I'll be posting some fun F3 photos throughout the week as well) ... just know that it was indeed a weekend to remember .... 160 man hours worth of editing & shooting compressed into only a 6 hour deadline, 600 ft of burnt DV film, passionate teams running around on only 5 hours of sleep and a $20 budget... the creativity and collaboration was off the charts! I cant wait to share the F3 recap video and the short film entries.

Well ... I've been busy with about 30 media team members this weekend at our 2008 Flamingo Film Festival .. I'll have a reCap soon - it's going on right now as I type! Fun, Fun, Fun !

Just finished messing with Evernote on my laptop and iPhone. This is an amazing tool and software (great technology and interface)... it's like adding a terabyte of memory to your brain and hiring a part time assistant!! Hillsong is Coming to South Florida USA!

Well ... at least the new live DVD is ... sorry for the misleading! :)

Here is the invite for tonight's screening of the New Hillsong DVD "This is Our God" at Flamingo Road Church.
We'll be dropping down the big screen, cranking the HD and cranking the volume! I've already seen the DVD twice and have been incredibly blessed by it all ... I cant wait to watch with you all!

What's in Your Bag ?

Here's what I pulled out of my bag this morning ... I'm a scattered reader - but I like it like that. If you're anything like me .... I'll get bored of certain books quickly - even if i truly enjoy them. It's just the ADD child in me.... As a result, I'll read random chapters at random times... but I get em done. I actually enjoy soaking it all up... as I grow older - I find myself reading more and watching less TV ... its a sign of aging I guess... that and my deep admiration for Celine Dion ;)


Current state of the bag ...

1. His Needs, Her Needs - Been reading this one with Marcy either on the way to work in the mornings or at night before bed. Some good friends of ours gave it to us a while back and we just now got to it. Great book on understanding each other ... pretty hot I may say. It has been very helpful in our communication as a couple.

2. Be Our Guest - Phenomenal book from the Disney Institute on the secret to their "magic". It's a must for leaders looking to kick it up a "magical" notch.

3. Entertainment Weekly - I skip straight to the billboard charts and reviews in the back looking for new music, movies or books. Then I'll skim through it and catch up on whats cooking around Hollywood.

4. Wired - I Love the "futurist" articles, tech trends, gear review , and all the Web 2.0 craze .... greatly designed too.

5. The Word - Obviously the only consistent book on my rotation - the Bible. I'm in the middle of 2 Timothy right now ... and have been learning tons from Paul's letters to Timothy ... great word from God on the bride, leadership, quarrels and more .


I also just finished : "Inside Steve's Mind", "All Marketers are Liars", and "Visioneering" ... I'll have a full review from my notes soon ... great books worth reading and reviewing! Looking forward to reading "It's Our Ship", "Maverick's at Work" and "Imagineering" - any suggestions from your bag ?

Where the Light Is

Got the CD & DVD yesterday and saw it tonight... John Mayer literally opens for himself as the headliner with one great set after another. All of his hits and some new covers via: Acoustic, Trio and Full Band performances. A must have for any music lover.... read my previous post here for further details. I can't wait for the concert on August 31st ... my tickets are secured. Anyone else going ?

My Book ...

Many have wondered how Marcy and I were able to meet, date, court, and get married in such a short period of time ... well ... for the first time in history - here is our secret. Marcy got through this book in a weeks time... and we were set. She has then revisited the book every year ... and the results are priceless. The best IS yet to come ...

Singer, Artist and TV show host Michael English will be hanging out at our Hallandale Beach Campus on Friday - July 11th @ 7PM for a live concert. It would be a great opportunity to meet him or just to hang out and hear some inspiring music. Tickets are available here. If you're interested ... let me know ...
