Reaching our God Potential

FRC's mission statement is clear, strategic and posted all over the place (literally). Here goes: Our purpose: "Partnering with people to reach their God Potential" It fires me up to see people reach their God Potential in their jobs, at school, in the gym, at Starbucks... thats the true beauty of the purpose. Your God potential is reached outside the church walls. God has uniquely created every single person to reach their potential in Him at whatever location, age or language. The potential "mold" is simply that there is no "mold" - with God as our fuel and His word as our map... the possibilities are endless. Are you pursuing your God potential?

FRC's staff was challenged this past week to continue growing towards our God Potential... here are nine things Pr. Troy shared with us as he challenged us to grow as the leaders of FRC - hopefully they can challenge you to grow as well:

Growth Towards our God Potential...
1. Spiritual: Journal your progress, keep track of where you've been so it tells you where you're going.
2. Leadership: leaders find a way to grow - no matter what. Read, Read & Read!
3. Physical: Our physical appearance reflects our leadership - the physical IS spiritual! Ouch ...
4. Ministry: We must always pursue excellence (do the best we can with the best we have)
5. Diversity: get out of our comfort zone and cover south Florida's ethnicity: everyone
6. Character: return calls, emails, follow up w/ people. Communicate and be clear
7. Creativity: It takes time, but is necessary. Create, create & create!
8. Thinking: Always be ahead of where people are. Go beyond.
9. Self Awareness: Know Yourself. Admit your weaknesses and use your strengths

I was challenged to grow ... and have already made progress. Anyone else on this journey?

Thanks for listing these. I think these are aspirations I've always aimed for, but never listed. I'm especially glad there's an emphasis on Thinking, Physicality, Diversity, and Self-Awareness. Those topics are never touched on in Christian circles, and its about time people started seeing them as virtues.

God bless you and Marcy. I love you guys and am glad you're doing well.
