With an extra hour at hand ... Marcy and I decided to head down to South Beach for the annual Sleepless Night - which is basically a cultural takeover of Miami Beach. The town was packed from corner to corner ... with several live music acts, comedians, art exhibits, outdoor films, light shows and much more.... (the light show - called Luminaria Sculpture was brought by a group called Architects of Air ... they'll be hanging on tour at the beach till the 7th of November ... check it out if you can.
We then headed straight to the Bustelo Lounge (which my sister in law happened to be hosting) - with free iced & hot coffee all night, we had the caffeine we needed to stay up! Cool vibe...
We then checked out the Spam Allstars at another hotel and bumped into some good friends. This band is hot! One of the best local bands out right now by far... a unique fusion of latin pop with some jamming urban DJ beats. I had their CD ... but had never seen them live.
We then left to check out some other acts around the beach and enjoy the rest of the night like any other married romantic couple would... long walk on the beach - j/k (well, not on the beach - but by the beach) - Great conversation! Good Times! We were actually too scared to walk on the beach since it reminded us of a CSI: Miami episode were a couple gets murdered. Bad TV! ;)
By the way ... while we were there ... we decided to launch FRC's newest campus ... FLAMINGO: SOUTH BEACH - thats right. I've got dibs on that campus!

Man, now that sounds like a fun night. Next year, I say we make a mag-team field trip out of it!
This past summer on a flight to Peru, Dan Suarez and I saw an add for Flamingo in the airline magazine, we said we thought God was giving us a sign, and now you've found it, cool, hehe!!
